the Children's
Festive Party which will help support
the Bridge Academy Hackney.
In view of it's long established
relationship with one of the most
deprived areas of the UK
!
UBS
is sponsoring a new school in Hackney
which will open in September 2007.
The Bridge Academy Hackney will
be a mixed, non-denominational school
for 11 to 18 year olds, initially
welcoming 180 girls and boys when
it opens next year. Specialising
in maths and music, the Academy
will eventually have 1,150 students,
including a sixth form of 250.
Contributions from employees will
go towards a range of activities,
including trips to the Science Museum,
Tate Modern, theatres, musical events,
summer workshops with primary schools
in the near vicinity of the Academy
and other life enhancing opportunities
which children in Hackney would
otherwise rarely experience.
